To maintain the air conditioning system in your vehicle at peak efficiency, it will require servicing every 18 months.
The air conditioning system includes a receiver/drier that has the following functions:
1 It filters out any impurities and therefore protects the compressor.
2 It contains a desiccant to absorb small amounts of moisture that are present.
3 It includes a reservoir for excess liquid refrigerant. After a period of time the filter cannot perform as efficiently as it should, therefore servicing becomes necessary, to maintain optimum performance and also to spot any potential problems before they cause a malfunction or failure.
Our air-conditioning service takes approximately 2 hours and consists of the following:
1 Check pressures and venting
2 Check temperature before commencing service
3 Check controls and air distribution
4 Analyse gas and depressurise the system
5 Measure the amount of gas recovered
6 Advise of leaks or damaged 'O' rings
7 Add correct oil
8 Check condition of condenser and clean with compressed air
9 Visually check condition of all hoses
10 Visually check compressor mounting brackets for tightness
